Fellowship Groups

CL Seniors meets the fourth Thursday of the month at 9:30 a.m. in the Church Hall. Beginning with devotions, coffee and rolls, the Seniors plan activities and service projects, select field trips to take, choose programs and presentations to see. As a group and individually, the CL Seniors are involved many church activities (worship assistants, mailing crew, LWR pick-up day, long range planning, quilters, soap drive, greeters, Lenten suppers, properties) and community service events.

Christ Lutheran adult members have the opportunity to participate in both basketball and softball church leagues.

Family Ministry is geared toward families with preschool and elementary age children. This group plans family events 3-4 times a year. They have enjoyed a Western Night, Sports Evening, Hayride, Bible Road Rally, trip to Indiana Beach, a Gary Railcats Game, and more. To balance out all the fun, each family hosts a monthly birthday party for local children who attend Hilltop House Daycare. This act of service by parents and children together is a great way for parents to pass faith on to their children.

The CLC Dinner Group is open to all adult members of Christ Lutheran. Gatherings are planned for every other month at members’ homes. These get togethers have taken different formats from appetizers to a BBQ cook-out to an Octoberfest celebration. Often a service project is incorporated into the gathering.
