Middle School

Middle School (6th – 8th grade)

CLC’s youth ministry has several programs and activities for middle schoolers! As we consider ways to expand our middle school programs, we’re also excited about the things we do offer. Confirmation, summer camp, special events, and weekly meetings on Sunday mornings!

Confirmation (7th – 8th grade)

Our Confirmation program includes Bible study and Lutheran Catechism. The purpose of our Confirmation program is to ensure that our middle school youth are entering their high school years with abundant discipleship, knowledge of the Christian faith, and a good understanding of Lutheran theology!

In addition to weekly meetings, middle school youth are also mentored by an adult member of the congregation!  Each child chooses an adult to serve, learn, and accompany them into the life of the church. Youth choose their mentors in 7th grade and meet regularly with them throughout their 8th grade school year. Mentors assist youth in completing a service project as part of their confirmation.

Congratulations to our 2017 Confirmation Class!

Special Events

The middle school youth at CLC get together at least once every three months for a fun event together. Whether it’s a day trip, pizza party, pool party, or a bonfire – we always have a blast! We’re looking forward to a fun-filled summer! More information will be coming soon!

Summer Camp

Middle school youth in grades 6-8 will have the opportunity to attend Confirmation Camp at Camp Lutherwald in Howe, IN. This is an amazing camp experience that you don’t want to miss! Activities include daily group study, a climbing wall, arts and crafts, swimming, games, boating, and more. The community and atmosphere are often the things people love the most!

Sunday Mornings

During our Faith Formation hour (9:20am – 10:20am), we have two classes for our middle school youth. The 5th and 6th grade youth meet in room 209. The 7th and 8th grade youth meet in Room 119. Teachers use curriculum to lead discussions and lessons! Everyone is welcome to drop by and check it out!
